JuryUninformed.blogspot.com It is important for all to learn what took place regarding our son's incomprehensible felony-arrest and incarceration at the hands of the Pleasant Hill Police Department-(specific officers named in our blog), a result of what appears to have been special treatment provided the true offender of this violent assault. The perpetrator of two, separate stabbing attacks is the son of our former Mayor of Pleasant Hill/retired Contra Costa County sheriff's deputy. The PHPD and the City of Pleasant Hill, we believe, have wanted to sweep this travesty under the rug as it appears there was reprehensible wrongdoing by our local law enforcement. Apparently not following through on blood evidence in the first assault--an attempted car-jacking/attempted robbery/false imprisonment/assault with a deadly weapon doing great bodily injury--is one example. He was arrested for this violent crime, however, the Contra Costa County D.A.'s office failed to press charges against this young man who was a known danger to the general public. Freed from incarceration, five months later he stabbed again, again doing great bodily injury. Our son, who was working on an Economics class project--in a classmate's home--having four, credible adult alibi witnesses--was hastily arrested and jailed for this crime ($30,000 bail was only the beginning). We are not aware of any action taken as a result of the PHPD's substandard investigative handling of both knifing assaults, unjustified, wrongful assumptions, and false, documented statements. Who's holding them accountable? The apparent special treatment provided the former mayor/retired sheriff deputy's son is unequivocally unacceptable. The truth must be known. Please pass along our blog address so that the tax-paying citizens of Contra Costa County are informed. Thank you in advance for educating our Bay Area community.
Sincerely,
