I was just wandering if anyone else has had any crappy service, ( cant even call it that) at these 2 places of business? I wont drop any names, but mann, they dont say hi, dont look at you, they ask the young kids if they hane any money before they come in, and the worst of is when they give you back your change, they just throw it on the counter and it goes all over. The first time my change was dropped, I just thought it was a fluke. The next day it happened again, so I had a couple of "choice" words to tell him. I dont know, it just isnt common any more to be polite and have BASIC manners towards others. And to spend my money with them...Hell no, not anymore, and word of mouth is a great advertisement. Thanks for listening........

its funny how people get outrage when they dont get good customer service and i agree u should not throw money on counter . but that includes customers. i work for lucky i always get customers snatchin stuff out of my hands throwing the money at me or just too busy on the cellphone to deal with my questions i have for then regarding their transaction. checkers and courtesy clerks are people too and do deserve the same respect u expect us to give you .

The best way to get good customer service is to show kindness first. Why does the clerk have to always be the one to show freindliness. They are human and may have had a bad day too. If you come in with attitude or showing didrespect then that is what you should expect in return. If your peers are going in with attitude and causing the clerk to act this way then maybe it is time to find new people to hang with.

So i should spend my money where the" Clerk" is completley disrespectful..The customer is ALWAYS Right!!!

So, If you are nice 1ST then you deserve good service? I think your thinking is backwards. Maybe you havent worked in a Service Oriented establishment before or YOU just havent had ant bad service...I dont know.......

No tom, you have a right to shop wherever you want but the "customer is not always right". There are totally rude customers with that attitude who can piss off a clerk to the point of not giving the best service possible at that time. And, yes I worked retail for many years, so I have seen it all. How about you? Have you ever worked or are you only a consumer?

many years ago when i worked for 7-11 when ever we got rude customers wed charge them what our boss liked to refer to as an attitude tax which was basically a little extra added on to the price of the things they were purchasing. as for rude clerks no i dont think it matters if they are having a bad day or not, if your behind a counter working you should allways smile and be polite even if the jerk whos credit card you just cut up is calling you every name in the book and threatening to drag you out side you should smile, nod, and apologize for having to follow procedure

It is illegal to add unauthorized "fees" to consumer goods

Well lets see here, of course I work, Gotta pay the bills! I was just trying to find out if anyone else has experienced the same crappy service as me.

OK here goes, Yes I have worked retail for 20 + years, but thats really not the point. What happened to common courtesey. Some people have it, some dont. So you seem to believe if a customer is an [bleep], then the "clerk" has the right to be an [bleep] right back? So now I understand, lets stoop to their level and be an [bleep]. Lets just pretend the customer is being nice, then I guess the "clerk" has the right( because their having a bad day) to be rude and non caring?????

Oh well, Have a nice day!

Relax, they are selling you gasoline, not a home. If you dont like them, Oakley has plenty of other gas stations to serve you

Basically, I think to tomt1 and most people, it's just a matter of principle. If you are a paying customer to an establishment, you expect to be treated with a certain degree of respect. After all, you are spending your hard earned money there, and you are paying for a service. Customer service is just that- servicing the customer!!! No matter if they work behind a counter at a 7-11, Mervyn's or Chili's, I think there is an expectation that they be pleasant, or if nothing else, at least acknowledge that someone is standing in front of them. Throwing the money on the counter after a transaction is terrible customer service, and I couldn't blame anyone for being irritated by that. Same for when you walk in and greet the person working behind the counter, and don't even get so much as a "hello" back. It's rude. I personally think that the gesture starts with the person working behind the counter. IT'S THEIR JOB TO BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL!!!! (customer service, right???)That's what they are getting paid to do. If someone walks in there with an attitude, they should get the customer on their way and move on. It's part of the job. The customer is not getting paid to go in there and be polite (although i'm not saying it's ok for customer's to be rude), the employee is getting paid to service the customer and needs to put forth the effort to be pleasant and polite, even when dealing with challenging customers.
