4 Antioch--what size tire does your trailer have?
The reason I ask is I have a tire on a rim for free.
Heck, I will even come over and put it on your trailer for you.(actually my husband will)
I'm just kidding Smokey, that's nice of you and recycling is good for the Earth. I just wanted to post something, anything, to keep this thread at the top of the most recent list because I think 4Antioch might still be in Scotland and may not get back to you right away.
You have to make sure the lug pattern works. My wife's car had some nice Momo wheels on it but it broke down and we decided to sell the car. My inlaws live right off 18th Street and they had 4 old wheels with tires in their shed, so I got this bright idea to put those on the car and keep the Momos to put on the new car we were buying. They all had the same number of holes, so I thought it would work. My inlaws live close to the Big O on 18th Street and I didn't have a truck handy, so I just rolled the old tires 2 at a time, out of their shed, down Cavallo Rd, across Romi's parking lot to the Big O. You know sometimes you start a project and get halfway through it when it's too late to turn back? That's how it was because it was one of the hardest things I ever did.
I spent half a day getting all the tires and car to Big 0, and wasn't even done with my lunch yet when the guy called and said the lug pattern didn't match. He was nice and didn't charge me for putting the car on the rack, but I had to spend the rest of the afternoon rolling the tires back to my inlaw's shed. Heck, you'd think some of those characters hanging out in front of Romi's could have offered to lend me a hand? If they weren't the junky wheels I bet they would have. My back ached so bad and I couldn't stand straight up and walked like a gorilla for 3 days after that episode. All I got to show for it was two permanent black tire smudges about knee high on the outside of my pant legs. Eventually the sidewalls of my pants wore out prematurely but Levi's wouldn't prorate the warranty because they said the guaranty was voided due to owner neglegence and misuse. I couldn't find my receipt either, which baffled me, because I always make it a point to keep it in one of my pant's pockets.
Anyway, so your husband doesn't get mad at you, check the lug pattern first to see if it matches. I learned the hard way about that.
My, my, I see you are learning to go on and on about nothing just like 2 other posters we have here. LOL
Anyway if 4 Antioch is away I'm thinking we could just go over to his house and install the tire while he's gone. But I'm afraid the police may be called thinking my husband is one of those strawberry sellers that hangs out there by his corner. Then too there's the one selling ice creams. And what is in the grocery cart with all the bags hanging off it. If it keeps up I wouldn't be surprised to see a "kiosk" go up there.
What? Berlin is gone? When did this happen? I don't remember his posting that he was done with us. Maybe, when Carondelet lost and were eliminated from the hoops playoffs, he just had enough. Berlin, come on back in! We'll knock down the wall.

Ya know BJoe, you MIGHT want to check out U-tube soon to be sure they didn't video you doing this. Might be why you didn't get charged. Probably yucked this up all afternoon and then posted it for the world to see on as in Funniest Home Videos of the day. Bummer.
And if not mistaken, part of your sojourn was uphill.
Crysalis, part of the tire rolling sojourn was uphill, but it's not really any easier going downhill. You can at least control them going uphill even if you have to work harder. Going downhill they kind of have a mind of their own.
I guess when they "have a mind of their own"...it doesn't inlcude stopping when you yell, "heel". But then next time, if you put strings on them, you could just roll them back like YoYos.
Smokey, your thread is slipping down and 4Antioch won't see it if we don't keep posting, so here's a little ditty to keep it at the top of the list!
Adapted from the Roger Miller High Life Song Collection: "Queen of the Road"Trailer tire for sale or rent,
Optional lugnuts... fifty cents,
No pool, no phone, no pets,
Can't have no cigarettes.
Ah...but... Two hours of pushing keys,
Replies to BJ, Stoney, and Whirlpeas,
Big red hat and worn out shoes,
Still pay them butcher union dues.

It just dawned on me, after re-reading this original post......4-antioch's trailer only has ONE!!!! tire? I've never seen a one-tired trailer. I've seen one TIRED trailer (had one) but never one with only one tire :0
Is it in the middle? would make turning any direction a snap. Would prolly need to really level the load before you go.
And just why would someone have one "tire on a rim"?
Questions.....that make you go........HmMmmmmmmmmmmm?
(sorry, long shift)
LOL! Yeah 001, that one ranks right up there with the best of your timely and classic pictures. Are you sure though, there's only one tire on that trailer? I'm thinking it could be optical collusion?
Crysalis, I think Smokey once mentioned there was one flat tire on 4Antioch's trailer, hence the need for only one. You'd have to ask her how she knows that. We should check her cane and make sure there isn't a nail on the end of it. :)
Now we have one tired thread to go along with our picture of a one tired trailer - AKA Crotch Rocket. It's time to re-tire, don't you think?
