No, I am not passing judgement. I am saying he should go to trial. At which point, the judge and jury can pass judgement. And if they judge him guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, or attempted murder, or what ever the case may be, he should be viewed as an adult in the eyes of the law.
Now, here's where I'm not passing judgement, if he's found innocent, great. He can go home.
You see, in trial, they will uncover the facts. And yes, they will pass judgement.
But I'm not sure you understand the difference between the trial stage, and the punishment stage. Just because you are tried as an adult, doesn't make you guilty. Please stop passing judgement like that. He still will have a full defense. And hopefully he was attacked by two random people, was able to strip them of their weapons, and fight back, and found innocent for self defense. Now the important part, did you UNDERSTAND the story ? You are right the 17yr old could be only months younger than the 18 yr old, and he may be charged as an adult. None of these guys should have even been in the park at that time, adult or child. I'm sure they will all learn a good lesson from this one.
Charles Rowe drove his friend out to newhall park and told him to hide in the bushes and wait for chris gonzalez to pass by. on his way back from a party, chris who had parked his car in the parking lot at newhall was confronted by charles. they began arguing(no fighting) and in the middle of their argument. the knife weilding "minor" came out of the bushes and attacked chris. thinking it was only a fist that was being flung at him chris made a mild attempt to dodge the blow, the tip of the 4" blade caught his rib cage and did not enter very far. the knife came back out and the attacker made a second attempt. chris caught his arm and delivered a blow to his face sending him to the ground. as soon as his buddy hit the floor charles jumped on the back of chris, now bleeding badly from the knife wound. chris flung him off his shoulders and sent him to the ground aswell, both attackers now dazed and confused began to get up, charles rested his arm on his friend to support himself. in the confusion his own friend stabbed charles thinking that it was chris. Now seeing that he was bleeding charles called the police saying that he had been stabbed. They didnt call the police when chris was stabbed.. that is what they went out that night for. charles drove his friend out planning on stabbing and hurting, possibly even killing chris gonzalez. The minors are not the victims and at 17 any major crime commited should be tried as an adult case. They both new exactly what they went out to do. no excuses.
If this account is true, I hope we see both Charles Rowe and the minor in jail for a very long time. To "Only God Can Judge" or what ever you had to change your name to because you prefer to break so many posting rules, you probably won't notice, based on your previous posts, but I used a conditional statement. So, no whining, alright. I know how much you like to whine.

Ian, I agree.. let the courts figure it out. Sounds as if the person who posted the events has some kind of info from one of the 3. I think I just got caught up in some childish bs, and responded in kind. Somebody stabbed somebody, now let the police do their work, and the courts do theirs.

Charles Rowe drove his friend out to newhall park and told him to hide in the bushes and wait for chris gonzalez to pass by. on his way back from a party, chris who had parked his car in the parking lot at newhall was confronted by charles. they began arguing(no fighting) and in the middle of their argument. the knife weilding "minor" came out of the bushes and attacked chris. thinking it was only a fist that was being flung at him chris made a mild attempt to dodge the blow, the tip of the 4" blade caught his rib cage and did not enter very far. the knife came back out and the attacker made a second attempt. chris caught his arm and delivered a blow to his face sending him to the ground. as soon as his buddy hit the floor charles jumped on the back of chris, now bleeding badly from the knife wound. chris flung him off his shoulders and sent him to the ground aswell, both attackers now dazed and confused began to get up, charles rested his arm on his friend to support himself. in the confusion his own friend stabbed charles thinking that it was chris. Now seeing that he was bleeding charles called the police saying that he had been stabbed. They didnt call the police when chris was stabbed.. that is what they went out that night for. charles drove his friend out planning on stabbing and hurting, possibly even killing chris gonzalez. The minors are not the victims and at 17 any major crime commited should be tried as an adult case. They both new exactly what they went out to do. no excuses.

If this account is true, I hope we see both Charles Rowe and the minor in jail for a very long time. To "Only God Can Judge" or what ever you had to change your name to because you prefer to break so many posting rules, you probably won't notice, based on your previous posts, but I used a conditional statement. So, no whining, alright. I know how much you like to whine.
So I'll say again, without the profanity some feel is necessary, If it's true, LOCK THEM UP!!!

Ian, I agree.. let the courts figure it out. Sounds as if the person who posted the events has some kind of info from one of the 3. I think I just got caught up in some childish bs, and responded in kind. Somebody stabbed somebody, now let the police do their work, and the courts do theirs.
