I still believe Harrison must be something special to someone on the hiring board. No experience and gets a top job; and, then gets a retirement (she's too damn young to retire, unless there's been specialities, all along) that's unbelieveable, especially to those who are the profs and instructors for what the campus is all about.
At least, when Cal hired a former Chief, they hired someone who was quite knowledgeable, since he had been in the Berkeley Police Dept. This was probably before Harrison was even out of high school. Ha!

You really want the world to believe that the foremost university in Califronia and possibly one ot the top 10 in the nation, accidentally, llike a McConald's Cashier, accidentally gives you an extra quarter in your change, this great university has so little respect for the law and their obligations for keeping close track of taxpayer funrds, that unintentionally gave out a check for $2.1 Million dollars, illegally? Is that really what they want us to believe? Do they really think we are all so stupid as to believe that? Or are they so stupid as to believe we are THAT stupid? Never mind, they will probably insult us, and the law, even more with another answer.
Where did they find the lawyer that approved their dealings in writing such a check and speaking to the newspapers? A Freshman law student should know better.

The comment by EEC makes a lot of sense. What if it is a cover up for something and this was a payoff?
