Vote Fraud - Urban Legend or Political Reality?
- another unsubstantiated conspiracy
- probably not an impact on results
- it happens somewhere else, but not here
- might happen here, but not sure
- happens all the time
- my vote doesn't count, anyway
- the whole election is rigged from day 1

Is Kern County afraid that the illegal aliens that vote there will be caught if the election is close?

This article promotes the anti-ID arguments that are before the Supreme Court. As such, they are anecdotal and incomplete in order to prompt an emotional response -
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080123/ap_on_el_ge/voter_id
You might assume from reading this article that none of the states mentioned have IDs available for non-drivers, which is not the case. The prohibitive cost is a concern; $50 - $60 dollars for an ID seems exorbitant, and the cost of a Federal passport is in the hundreds of dollars. This seems excessive unless there are programs to waive a portion of the fees for low-income applicants.
Since it is foolish not to carry ID on you at all times, maybe the cost of obtaining it should be a tax exemption.
The article also attacks the need of having ID to battle voter fraud, and raises the good point that the ID should be present when a person registers to cover the eventuality that they may vote by mail. But is should also be necessary at the polling place. I found it ironic that it quoted Ohio election officials in light of the incident presented on the net 3 years ago where a reporter took 3 residents from Michigan to Ohio where all 3 were allowed to register, even when 1 specifically stated they lived in Michigan, and another stated they weren't even a citizen of the U.S.! (I never understood why such a blatant example of fraud was never investigated given the abundance of names, places, etc. in the incident). But then there was a comment I read this past week of someone remembering the good ol' days in Chicago when they saw a carload of people empty out at a polling place, the driver waited until they all voted, then headed down the street to the next polling place.
Note the article skipped over current circumstances of the invasion of illegal aliens, whose banners read 'Today We March, Tomorrow We Vote!'. And if you look to see who is resisting the voter ID law, it is the ACLU (well known for supporting the invading aliens) and various Hispanic groups.
A 'bottom line' may be that we take our birthright citizenship too lightly, and find it too incredible that there are people (corporations) that would commoditize it and sell it to the highest bidder if we are not vigilant.

From the 'sanctuary city' Chicago (ever notice how close to Chicano it sounds?) comes this article about illegal aliens voting there -

Ahhh, the Wall Street Journal weighs in with this little goodie of voter disenfranchisement in Las Vegas by the Democrats -

It was interesting to note that the last presidential election was won by a margin of 537 votes but ...between 400 and 1,000 voters registered in Florida and New York City had voted twice ... according to the article.

Nevada is back in the news with shenanigans from GOP regarding voter eligibility for the caucus -

The concern is that Romney can use the 'no-affidavit' rule to bus up Mormons from Utah to vote in rural counties and skew the results.

Back to New Hampshire, this anomaly presented itself -
http://www.bradblog.com/?p=5544
As noted by one of the researchers, IT Consultant Bruce O'Dell:
Analysts at the Election Defense Alliance (EDA) have confirmed that based on the official results on the New Hampshire Secretary of state web site, there is a remarkable relationship between Obama and Clinton votes, when you look at votes tabulated by op-scan v. votes tabulated by hand:
Clinton Optical scan 91,717 52.95% Obama Optical scan 81,495 47.05%
Clinton Hand-counted 20,889 47.05% Obama Hand-counted 23,509 52.95%
The percentages appear to be swapped. That seems highly unusual, to say the least.
O'Dell notes the group is "proceeding with intra and inter-county results and demographic analysis to better understand what this extremely unusual 'coincidence' may indicate."
But wait! There's more. Check out -

where hundreds of votes are unaccounted for. And in all fairness, when all is said and done, the margin of error found came out to be less than 1% -

So is the Hillary campaign rigging the optical scan readers to increase her totals, or are the Obama folks miscounting the ballots by hand to increase his?
Or are Karl Rove and Dick Cheney rigging the whole process so we will expect anomalies and not complain when they steal another election in November?

I have tried to engage ohso in dialog but he refuses to answer. I think he may have put me on "ignore."

Some people like books about how nasty evil Democrats steal elections from noble pure Republicans. Others like books about how nasty evil Republicans steal elections from noble pure Democrats. You can pretty much turn one type of book into the other by cutting and pasting, the same way I wrote the first two sentences.
