Hey everyone,
So, at Tuesday's BP MAC meeting, plans were shared to build a 14,000 sq. foot Walgreens drug store at the north corner of Willow Pass and Bailey. A lot of the council said they were excited about what this will mean for BP. Just thought I'd throw this out there to get more reactions...

Walmarts are gross and there are too many of them. Why don't they clean the town up, if that's possible, and try to beautify it so people might want to come and spend some money in it. Walmart will just provide a place for drug dealing and gangs.
The Bailey and Willow Pass Road intersection is already bad enough. Are they going to widen the road to accommodate the additional traffic? Willow Pass Road already doesn't accommodate existing traffic very well.
The intersection at Willow Pass and Evora is a nice mess now thanks to that skillfully NOT well-planned new business park not to mention all the litter and dumping around the underpass.
How can anyone be excited about yet another Walmart. Yuck.

That would really help Bay Point to have a Walgreens there. With the economy the way it is, it's a great place to save money. Hope it happens!!!

I think that bringing a Walgreens into town is a great idea. This is exactly what our community needs. More commercial businesses. There are too many empty lots on Willow Pass Rd. They need to be utilized in a more constructive manner rather building MORE affordable housing.

Another location for folks to steal products. How about clean-up the place and assign more Sheriff Patrols before they even consider bringing-in more stores...

Why the powers to be would put in a Business Park by that Chevron Station that blocks the view to Martinez instead of a full service shopping center there to generate money for Bay Point? That little store is gross too at the Chevron. Now, that would have helped Bay Point. You could have put the Walgreen's there morons. We need a DECENT grocery store and other things like a Starbucks. Currently, there is pretty much only that gross Safeway at Bailey. No one who lives before San Marco will go into Bay Point to do any business at all because it is so gross but we would have went to Willow Pass (Concord) side and Evora where the Chevron is to shop in droves because it is so convenient. But, there are tons of thugs at the Chevron so I guess they would ruin any shopping center too.
What morons plan these developments?
I really doubt the Walgreen's will even be able to stay in business because the only people who will shop there are the thugs that live off of Willow Pass because the BP MAC refuses to clean Bay Point up and get first things done first.
The empty lots are there because no decent citizen with a legal business can stay in business in Bay Point.
Why are they building more stuff when we have to ration water?
