Hardly recognize anybody here on the forums lately.
Where is mornsky, drake, berlin, zsmommy, watchfan, andy, coolmonkey, 4antioch, jdh100, and the rest of the old OFEC crew?
Has this new format stopped you from posting, or you just don't have two cents to add?

Yes Roy, It was very quiet today. Many of us, I believe, are just tired of the same-o same-o and not seeing any changes in the neighborhood. There are a lot of new posters but for the most part they have just been negative. Let's start a thread of up-lifting thoughts.
It's good to see you are still posting.

Speaking of up-lifting thoughts, I just flashed on that scene in "The Seven Year Itch" where her skirt gets caught in the updraft. So how is Marilyn anyway?

They are always thinking of girls.
Marilyn is busy with the kids. She hasn't been able to get on the forums at work. I guess they have blocked them. At home she has to compete for the computer time. All the thuggery in Antioch lately is stressing her out. But she does send her regards to the OFEC's

Drake should have an asterisk next to his name because, technically, I'm not sure he was ever an official member of the OFEC crew. In fact, I always thought the OFEC crew was formed, more or less, out of a collective desire amongst it's founding fathers to just antagonize Drake? If you remember, Drake had made great strides and OFEC was on the verge of accepting him as an official member but the situation turned when Drake couldn't resist sparring toe-to-toe with those crazed Raider Fans and that's ultimately what led to his downfall. According to Drake's colleague, The Cronic, Drake left without any hard feelings and went back to his hobby of making homemade rockets and stuff.

Jerry, on the left, click on "Forums", when that opens, click on "New Forums", then "Post new topic". That should work. Here's a link to that page: http://forums.contracostatimes.com/forums/forum/954

Like I mentioned a while back, compared to the wasteland over in Central County, we're a veritable oasis of hyperactivity. I think we've surpassed them in our ability to adapt to change. When the oil runs out and the electricity stops flowing through the wires OFEC will be just fine while the rest of the county scrambles around in panic like chickens with their heads cut off. We've still retained some agriculture out here and we'll always be able to come up with inventive ways to utilize the Spam and Cheez Whiz we've been carrying around in our panties as BazookaJoe has demonstrated.

What does the acronym OFEC stand for?
Old F--- Evil Curs ???
Others emailing me have commented on the "age" of the posters in OFEC. One would never know from the immature postings and bullying tactics torwards certain members in our forum who do not have the same views, or the same 2cents.
Seriously some of us are curious....so don't get your panties in a wad over my sarcasm, Just returning the favor for the times the "pack dogs" in OFEC attacked me for posting intelligent topics. Click mentalities and "pack dog bullying" are better left back in highschool. People usually don't like it dished back, maybe thats why so many have left.

And you say that like it's a bad thing!
Speaking of getting your panties in a wad (might be caused by an excess of Cheez Whiz) I really don't think that you are being singled out. I for one have taken my lumps on this forum and if you follow the exploits of the OFEC you know that pot-shots are regularly exchanged between themselves. I do not think that any attempts at humor have driven anybody out, after all Ohso is still posting and for that matter so are you. Any time you feel the need to send your pack of snarling poodles after me feel free because as I have said in a prior post, I've been called an idiot by better than you.

BBrentwood, I think you might have forgotten to use the HTML code for turning the bold off after your postscript. It's a glitch in the Time's new format whereby if someone uses the code to turn on the boldness but forgets to use the code to turn it off, every subsequent message by any poster gets boldness too. Too bad kindness didn't work the same way, wouldn't that be great?

I heard positive comments about your store today. "They love the caramel apples" and "The caramel corn". I didn't know you have those items. And no, I am not advertising for you. You know I would be the last one to do that here. Only relaying what some ladies were saying about you today. Of course I had to say you were a good friend of mine. What else is an OFEC to do?

Almonds and macadamia nuts in one, just caramel popcorn in the other.

Thanks for being a good friend. Most of our business here at the Ranch is word-of-mouth- generated. Advertising helps, but it's not a pancea. Most of our customers have generated others, and that's always been especially rewarding to Lynn and me...

Roy, for now I am just a cyber-friend. I hope to get over your way some day to meet you all. I really just want to come and get some "chocolate apricots" LOL

Word of mouth advertising works great Roy, I just hope a whole bunch of people don't stop by because they want to get those scrumptious caramel apples you don't have. You might need a sign by the gate:
Yes! We have no caramel apples, we have no caramel apples today!
We've walnuts, and cashews, the dreaded brazilnut, and jellies,
and anything you can dry under the sun!
Yes! We have no caramel apples, we have no caramel apples today... ay, ay!
We've pistachios, banana chips, gift baskets, and chocolate,
and Harvest maps when you want to pick fruit for fun!
But Yes! We have no caramel apples, we have no caramel apples today,
... No matter what those Red Hat Ladies say... ay ay!
