According to my sources (the green fairy in the sewage drain told me after I finished drinking a fifth of absinthe) we are currently in negotiations with Chris Henry. The Oakland police department is on stand by to give him the Randy Moss treatment on his way to the facility. THIS WILL HAPPEN. Even if I am wrong, I will be right on this. I don't care what anyone may have heard about his desire to go to New Orleans or Dallas. That's just a smoke screen. What do Clayton and Mayock have on my sources (who are coincidentally the same as Mick's)? Mark my words!

For the record, I was waiting for someone to do it and be serious as well. Of course, had he mentioned Oakland along with NO and DAL then I'm sure it would have been everywhere.

Why is it that so many Raider fans seem to think they need to stock the Raiders with soon-to-be felons, drug enthusiasts and other ne'er-do-wells?
This isn't the 60's and 70's anymore folks! Finding that "diamond in the rough" occurs on draft day if you are lucky, not trading for or signing the latest police blotter listee.
Certainly there are some good, even great players that are not the greatest people on the planet. That said, generally, when a player gets cut by another team for their off-the-field (or sometimes on-the-field) antics; chances are they are not worth of the annoyance they cause (Randy Moss notwithstanding).
I know that some fans love to cling to the "Raider Mystique" of years gone by. That's the point though, those are years gone by. The Raiders lost that mystique the day they packed their bags for the land of LA. Certainly there have been a few years of success since then, but the reality is that the Raiders have become, for lack of a better (and kinder) term, a run-of-the-mill franchise. Maybe they will remain one until A.D. is out of the picture; maybe it gets worse with him gone. I don't know. All I know is that I was a Raider fan for their first super bowl and I will be one until I'm done on this planet. In the meantime though, let's leave the dregs of society to play for other teams and stock the Raiders with players who have the talent AND the attitude of WINNERS!

Cincy is a cess pool for trouble. At least out here in oakland he will have the Fear of getting in trouble. Not because of the League but because of the Fact the Fans in Oakland will kill the players they really dont like so it would be safe for him to preform well if he was to come here. Russell would help remake him. We need the depth as well.
The Kid also has a Nack for finding the endzone and getting open. we need offense and we are 200times better than the bengels. If the High profile players are trying to leave Cincy including Carson. Then its more going on there than the media is putting out
