Final day of hacking down the 4 foot high weed field, cutting back the overgrown trees and shrubbery, sweeping (not hosing down) all the hardscape.
Looks like Carne Asada Grilled Stuff Burritos and Strawberry-Colada Taco Bell Frutistas spiked with RonRico rum are a definite "YES!" Don't worry, I got some amigos helping me (not that you're not mi Amigo tambien!)
Hey, compadre, that sure sounds like just tons of fun.... Enjoy the rest of the day!
Lynn skimmed the pool and used the blower to get rid of the leaves from last night's wind storm while I'm waiting on customers in the store. We make a great team. Having MIL and husband; son Steve and DIL Sarah; Lynn's best bud, Jane; Ali and Cari and their sons over for a swim, BBQ ribs and Margarita punch this PM. Laid back day.
Got a kick out of Cari's dad yesterday. He called her to tell her about the b-52 and a couple of other WWII planes that flew over antioch yesterday. I couldn't resist and called him to tell him B-52's were Cold War and Vietnam vintage. That what he probably saw was B-24 Liberator and a B-17 Flying Fortress. I doubt one was a B-29 Superfortress that dropped the H-Bombs over Japan.. He was a good sport.
I saw the B-24 fly over on Monday when I was at my mom's doing yard work. I would have liked to have seen the B-17 & P51 Mustang, but no dice.
As for the weekend the plan was Saturday watch the Indy 500 & Coke 600 while eating home made pork burritos. The Indy and burritos went off as planned but the Coke 600 got held off to Monday due to rain. I had already told my mom I would do the yard work on Monday so I didn't see much of the race, which it turned out was shortened by rain.
We actually waited until today to go out of town (everybody's back at work) and went to Half Moon Bay and had lunch on the beach and then a 3 mile walk on the path that parallels the beach. Weather was great, but I now have the look of a nicely done lobster!
