WHERE ARE ALL THE WAR PROTESTORS ?? Did Obama pay them off with stimulus funds??
There are now more troops overseas than at anytime during the BUSH years, yet not peep from the liberals, the war protestors, Code Stink, or even the old hipsters in Lafayette....crosses on the Hill crowd.
The rumor is that, social non-profits are getting funding in exchange for their SILENCE on the war issues.
Then again maybe the liberals are only against war when a Republican is in office?? and they can use it to their advantage, now the show ison the other foot,.......and they are silent, after OBAMA signed the order to send 17,000 more troops to Afghanistan. A bit hypocritical, or just embarassing for the liberal "chanting End the War, No war for Oil" agitators....

If memory serves me correct (and it usually does) I recall pelosi, (miss bailey rd. dumpsite herself) and a few others, running their mouths off about pulling our troops out when the dem's were all trying to fill the main spots in congress and the senate, not to mention the oval office, ok... their there, and their running the show, and they've been there for some time, soooo what happened??? are the troops no longer important now that they all got what they wanted??? "SHOCK!!!"

Now if you were a fair and sensible man - we could have an balanced intelligent conversation concerning Obama war policies - like drawing down the troops in Iraq and bringing most of them home. Or the introduction of Marines into the southern provinces of Afghanistan to route the Taliban. Or the general policy plan being discussed at the White House at this time, on how to win or disengage from this 8 year old war that Obama has had on his "new president" plate for 8 months.
But no, you are not a fair and sensible man. You would rather "wonder out loud" if the anti-war groups think it's OK to kill American soldiers.

Is there a "hands off grace period" gift from the war protesters to the Obama presidency, because his black, popular and against war?
Why are the anti-war folks not out in force? Who knows? Takes time, will, and organization. Most of the American electorate have turned sour on the war in Afghanistan - why don't they demonstrate? Too much trouble?
After years long - and 4000 dead, the casualties from Iraq have dropped to near zero. Could that be the reason? Over the last few months, the death toll in Afghanistan has increased because of a more vigorous and aggressive policy by American forces into Taliban strongholds.
If the death toll continues the protesters will be back, because it's "not OK for American soldiers to die" There is no conspiracy of silence as your dumb remark suggests.
I have read your comment history. You are so anti-Obama your comments can be measured in terms of school yard level insults. So you can keep your silly "guns, money, freedom" slogan ... because me and many people like me, want meaningful "change."

The fight in Afghanistan has never been about oil. And you know it. It was about 9/11, the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
America's forces in Iraq are being drawn down. And some were redeployed to Afghanistan, where America's war with terrorism started. Did you forget about Osama?
This time next year, when many troops have been brought home from Iraq, I will look forward to your post regarding Obama's hypocrisy and the great number of troops overseas.

Iraq and Afghanistan are not the same. Iraq was not popular while I recall general concesus on Afghanistan. This is going to be a tough one though for ANY president. This country is quite use to conflict and although I do understand why we went there I am no longer certain why we remain. The Taliban remain a threat and I do not want them to take over Afghanistan but how long should we be there? This is NOT a partisan issue.
